Some with a small hand. It's too simple for others. There is no thumb safety for other shooters yet. Some even say they are overrated.
However, if you're on the opposite side of the track, they're best used as an all-around pistol. There aren't a lot of gray areas with these weapons. One thing many can agree on, however, is that the M43 is a nice little handgun to conceal.

Glock is an Austrian company that has grown from a small household goods company into the world's largest manufacturer of handguns. An estimated 65% of law enforcement agencies in the United States use Glock pistols, and the worldwide share is not uncommon.
The G43: Glock's Single Stack Nine
The Glock 43 9mm pistol somewhat surprised the shooting world when it came out in April 2015. Bold and loud by Glock, it was the company's first single-stack 9mm. Such a weapon was in high demand among glucophile enthusiasts. Many people were disappointed, if I remember correctly, that Glock introduced the M42 .380 before the 9mm version was released.
In any case, it was a good seller and remains so to this day, although I imagine the 43X twin-stack has dampened its sales a bit. Many will hold 10 rounds in a flush-fit 43X magazine instead of the standard six rounds in a 43, given the choice, even if the grip is wider. So now we know where the company came from and how the Gen 3 pistol differs from the Gen 4. This is all the basic information needed to discuss Glock pistols with any understanding of terminology, generations, etc. Now the typical gun in front of us? Why did Glock decide to come out with their first sub-stack 9mm? In a word, demand.
Glock 43 Holster: How To Choose The Right Holster For Your 43
43 was the first Glock service caliber that could be carried in a trouser pocket. I know some people who do that. At a load of 20 ounces or more and only four-quarters of an inch long, it fits in a pocket holster. (Don't carry a pocket gun in your pocket - it goes into the holster).
Another question I get asked from time to time is, "What is Race 43?" I replied, "His." 43 is technically a fourth generation. But, to glance at it, it looks like a Gen 5 without the finger grooves. But, there's no fifth-generation slide stop/release and nDLC finish, but the Marksman barrel is there.
So, it was a precursor to Gen 5 rifles. This is one of the more popular Glocks out there and they sell a lot of them. At least my friends who own them really love them, regardless of race.

The beveled fender block helps make sliding a little easier due to its beveled edges. Some other manufacturers have adopted a similar block.
Those who hold the 43 hidden may want to practice it regularly. Or, I might paraphrase, anyone with a concealed carry handgun needs to practice with it regularly.
My point is that smaller guns require a bit more drawing and shooting practice than larger guns—at least in my experience. I've carried both and sometimes had more trouble getting my hands on the subcompact than I have with some of the bigger brothers. The problem is that smaller guns are easier to conceal than larger guns, but sometimes they are more difficult to hold, draw, and shoot.
Some people shoot larger guns better because they can grip with all fingers and the longer sight radius helps with accuracy. There is also a feeling that the larger guns exhibit less recoil than their smaller cousins due to their greater weight.

In any case, if you can easily draw and fire 6 rounds of 9mm, the 43 is a good candidate for concealed carry. To describe the Beatles, you need practice, not just love. And I know some of you love to play sports - right?
One last factor you may need to control is bounce. I mentioned this above but wanted to take a little time on it. When you're shooting a 19-ounce 9mm with a target load, this isn't much of an issue. But, switch to the carry-on of your choice and suddenly this little piece of plastic and metal develops a personality of its own, sometimes not quite right. Some small guns can be blunt.
Now, the 9mm isn't quite as aggressive on the rear end as, say, the .40 S&W or .45 ACP, but the 9mm is still a bit of a defensive load, especially if you're sensitive to recoil. I found that starting to fire my favorite 9mm Target handload consisting of 4.8 grains of Longshot powder under a molded Lee 124-grain round nose, equipped with a Fiocchi SP primer, is a good starting point for recoil. There is a way.
The gradual transition to factory FMJ rounds and then full bore defense loads has worked for me and others in the past. I'm not particularly prone to withdrawal but it seems to bother me as I get older. So, I'm always ready for an easy load on the wrist. I will delve more into my actual experience with this gun and my recoil when I shoot it (below).

I've braved the weather in my wild backyard. There's a cold front moving and it's a bit fast, but my desire to shoot the little guy overcame my silence. I have shot the handload I described above that is generally accurate in whatever gun it is fired in and also an excellent Fiocchi 124 grain JHP. I've had good luck with this pregnancy, too.

The vertical chord is obvious, though you usually see it more with rifles than with pistols. Anyway, all the holes are on the paper. He didn't like my ammunition. And yes, it is a molded bullet carry. I have fired several rounds through a Glock 30 in .45 ACP. As long as you clean the barrel regularly, you shouldn't have any problems.
I cannot officially condone the use of lead bullets due to Glock's policy, but solid bullets are not the culprit. Never shoot regular bullets in any barreled gun. These bullets will dislodge the lead and make a mess that can quickly lead to a potential overpressure situation.

For that matter, the same thing can happen with traditional barrels. Avoid regular bullets if you can unless you are shooting very light target loads, and never shoot them in a Glock barrel. All I'm saying is shoot, then clean it up. Only you decide what type of bullet to put in your Glock.
Carrying JHP was a different story. He kicked hard and with every shot he lifted the gun from the bag. Now, I shoot full bore .44 Magnum loads and I'm used to the recoil. I'm just doing a subjective comparison of my two 9mm loads. You can tell when I put the Fiocchi scope down you were touching something a little stronger than my target 1000fps load.
Looking at the target, it looks like I have two groups: one in the center of the target and one a little lower left. It was interesting, to say the least. I used a stand and placed the front sight under the small black box and shot from a bag at about 20 yards.
I often tell myself that in order to carry an effective load, it has to kick a little bit.
